This map serves as an informative source about the estimated numbers of Disappeared persons across borders, the history of crimes of enforced disappearances happened, efforts at truth, justice and reparations, status of forensic investigations, and organizing to search for the Disappeared. This information is mainly compiled from hyperlinked online resources. The hope is that this map is used as a way to make the crisis of enforced Disappearance visible and understand how it is a global issue.
